Aberthaw Flue Gas Desulphurisation

Project Value: £5000,000

This project was completed on behalf of consortium clients Amec & Alstom. The project included tunnelling under oil filled 240Kv electrical cables to install a total of 300M of 2.8M diameter GRP pipes. 
A main access shaft and cofferdam were excavated with a combination of sheetpiles and rock netting used to secure the excavation sides. 6 No. 50M pipejacks 3M diameter  were jacked before installation of the final product glass reinforced pipework. 
The project was successfully completed within time, budget and QHSE requirements.

Leicester HPG Installation

Project Value: £225,000

This project consisted of the design and support of existing brick egg culverts with pre-fabricated steelwork and concrete. Followed by construction of 2 No. 30M timber headings.  The timber heading were constructed with SC4
timber adopting the box heading methodology. 
All works were completed within allocated timescale, budgets and QHSE standards.

Cardiff International Sports Village

Project Value: £230,000

This project consisted of construction of 2 No. 15M shafts. Each shaft was fully excavated in advance with 150T of rebar placed and concreted before building of caisson segmental rings. The internal base was then float finished to a bespoke design and permanent electric pumps installed.

Maesteg Town Sewer Regeneration

Project Value: £560,000

Maesteg sewer regeneration project consisted of the renewal of the existing sewage pipework running a total lenght of 2Km. 

The project scope included:

  • 2500M of 1200mm Pipejacking

  • Caisson shaft 25M Dia, 20M deep

  • 6 Caisson shafts 12M Dia, 15M deep

  • 2M segmental tunnels, 50M length

  • 250M Linning of existing brick culverts
