Duffy Tunnelling South Wales was started in 1993 by Joe Duffy.
Joe previously worked as a deep sea fisherman for 20 years before relocating from Ireland to South Wales.
Joe changed careers and started work in the tunnelling sector. Joe has worked in the tunnelling industry for over 30 years specialising in hand tunnelling.

Engineering
Engineering control is closely monitored by our onsite team of engineers.In addition to general engineering duties our team of engineers ensure robust quality standards and production and the coordination of all aspects of temporary works.
Temporary works are defined as "parts of a construction project that are needed to enable the permanent works to be built". Duffy Tunnelling manage temporary works in line with UK regulatory requirements and British Standard 5975

Joe has spent 30 years working in the tunnelling industry working across the UK & Ireland with the majority of tunnel works completed by manual tunnel techniques.
Joe is a avid sea skipper has run the Cardiff half marathon and in his spare time follows MMA & Boxing
Martin Duffy

Director
Martin has worked in the Tunnelling industry for 20 years. He is responsible for managing day to day operations and management systems.
Martin is a keen open water swimmer and enjoys scuba diving in his spare time

Lisa has worked in the construction industry for 15 years. Lisa covers all aspects of office operations including, financial, QHSE management and tender management.
